Terms of Service

Last updated: July 18, 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By using this website, requesting a water test or quote, or purchasing products or services from HonestWater Charlotte, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our services.

2. Who we are

HonestWater Charlotte ("we," "us," "our") sells and installs residential water testing, filtration and softening systems in the Charlotte, North Carolina metro and nearby South Carolina communities. We are an independent authorized dealer of Honest Water Co® products. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of Charlotte Water, any utility, or any government agency.

3. Our services

We provide in-home water testing, product recommendations, sale and installation of water treatment equipment, and related service and maintenance. Our services are offered to residential homeowners within our published service area. We may decline or discontinue service at our discretion, including where site conditions, access, or code requirements make installation impractical.

4. Free water test

Our water test is provided free and without obligation. It is a diagnostic assessment intended to inform a product recommendation. It is not a certified laboratory analysis, is not a substitute for testing required by law or by a real estate transaction, and should not be relied upon for any regulatory, legal or health determination. If you require certified results, we will tell you and can refer you to an accredited laboratory.

Results reflect conditions at the time and point of sampling. Water quality varies over time, by fixture, and by season, particularly for private wells.

5. Pricing and quotes

Prices shown on this site are starting prices for the described system, installed under typical conditions, and are subject to change. Your actual price depends on your water, your home's plumbing, the equipment selected, and any additional work required. We provide a written quote before any work begins, and that written quote governs.

Quotes are valid for the period stated on the quote. Financing, where offered, is provided by third-party lenders and subject to their approval and terms — we do not make credit decisions.

6. Scheduling and cancellation

Appointments are scheduled by agreement. Please give us as much notice as you reasonably can if you need to reschedule or cancel, so we can offer the slot to another customer. We will do the same for you. If we must reschedule due to weather, supply or staffing, we will contact you promptly and offer the next available time.

Where a purchase agreement is signed in your home, you may have a legal right to cancel within a statutory period. Any such right and its deadline will be stated in your purchase agreement.

7. Installation and site conditions

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the installation location, working water and power, and accurate information about your plumbing where known. Installation quotes assume typical residential conditions. Pre-existing conditions — including corroded or non-conforming plumbing, inadequate drainage, insufficient space, or code violations — may require additional work, which we will quote before proceeding.

We are not responsible for pre-existing defects, or for damage arising from them, that we did not cause.

8. Warranties

Manufacturer warranties on equipment are provided by the manufacturer and are subject to the manufacturer's terms, registration requirements and exclusions. Warranty coverage on our installation labor, where offered, will be stated in your written quote or purchase agreement.

Warranties generally require that equipment be installed by us, maintained as specified, and not modified, misused or serviced by others. Consumables such as filters and media are wear items and are not covered as defects.

9. Communications and text messages

By providing your phone number, you agree that we may contact you about your request by phone and, where you have consented, by text message. Marketing texts require your separate express consent, which is never a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for assistance. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

10. Use of this website

The content on this site — text, images, layout and branding — is owned by us or our licensors and is provided for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, scrape, republish or use it commercially without our written permission. Honest Water Co® and related marks belong to their respective owner.

You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or submit false information through our forms.

11. Disclaimers

Water quality information on this site is drawn from public sources including the Charlotte Water Consumer Confidence Report, the EPA and EWG. It describes general conditions in the region and does not describe the water at your address. Only an on-site test can do that.

Statements about what a system removes or reduces reflect manufacturer specifications under test conditions. Real-world performance depends on your incoming water, usage and maintenance. Nothing on this site is a medical claim, and no product is represented as treating, preventing or curing any health condition.

Except as expressly stated, the site and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to your use of this site or our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the products and services giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including lost time or inconvenience.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for personal injury caused by our negligence.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, and you and we consent to that jurisdiction.

Before filing anything, please contact us — most issues are resolved with a phone call.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Changes apply going forward and do not alter the terms of a purchase agreement already signed.
